CA Heritage Trout Challenge complete!

I am stoked! Finally got my California Heritage Trout Challenge completed (catching six different forms of California native trout from their historic drainages). In order, it was Lahontan cutt, coastal rainbow, California golden, Little Kern golden, McCloud River redband, and Kern rainbow. And get this, it was exactly one year to the day from the time I caught the Lahontan to when I finally landed a Kern 'bow. It meant over 1,000 miles of driving, close to 100 miles of backpacking, numerous nights in the wilderness, and some of the finest country and rivers on the planet. I can’t thank all of you enough for the knowledge, inspiration, and motivation that helped me over the last year. Wow! I gotta do more of this

John -

Tough way to spend a year. You have my deepest sympathies.

John

P.S. Bet you can’t wait to do it again. Wish I could tag along.

John,

Congratulations on a really neat accomplishment. Thanks for taking us along with you.
