"Central Washington Fish-In 2004 - Photos - Fly Angler's OnLine Travel"

CENTRAL WASHINGTON'FISH-IN 2004' PHOTOS

Here are photos from the regional Central Washington Fish-In 2004 held in Ephrata Washington, April 29th - May 2nd, 2004 (although some were there earlier and stayed later!) These photos, these were taken by "Z," Denny Conrad, Doug Gran, Ron Eagle Elk, Johnathan Sherwin and Jim Lewis. The "camp" photos were taken at the Oasis Park in Ephrata, Washington - great park owned and operated by the city. Trout fishing and trout photos from Rocky Ford Creek, a public, fly only, catch and release fishery managed by the Washington Dept. of Fish and Game. The float tubing, bluegill and panfish photos from Stan Coffin Lake, another public lake in Washington state.

This 2nd CWFI Fish-In was organized by "Linemender" - Cary Morland and Steve Zweber - "Z". Actually they were wonderful guides as well.

The stars of the Stan Coffin Lake trip - some of the folks had never fished for panfish, much less with a fly rod. "Z" said afterward he never stopped laughing all day, it was his first too.

Here's what is all about - Spanish Fly (James Martinez) and his son, Jim. Young Jim caught and landed (with dad's help on the landing) several nice rainbows.

Johnathan and Andy (above) were pretty much joined at the hip for the whole Fish-In - they had a blast!

Both of the boys did catch fish, congrats to both their dads, who brought the boys and took part!

Dinner was after dark most nights as everyone fished until dusk. Below are some dinner photos in camp. Saturday night was a potluck. Dutch oven bbq pork and German sausage, chili, dips, chips, oysters raw and cooked, hot dogs, salads and two kinds of pie!

The second Central Washington Fish-In was a great success, and plans are underway for a repeat in '05. Thanks to Z and Linemender for organizing it and to all who attended:
