Cinnamon Sedge

Red Sedge

Insect Order Trichoptera (The Roof Winged Fly)
The Red and Cinnamon Sedges

    Hook:  10 and 12.

Body:  Red: Red seals fur, Cinnamon: Cinnamon seals fur.

Hackles:  Red: Medium game cock (palmered); Cinnamon: Light brown or ginger cock (palmered.)

    Rib:  Fine gold wire.

Wing:  Any dark mottled feather, Grouse, Turkey, or similar red version. For cinnamon use even coloured light brown feather.

For the wing, stick to 3m or buff tape and cut to shape. The wing is tied in 1/3 of the hook length back from the eye, in order that extra cock hackle can be tied in.
