ROD BUILDING TIPS
Secure the Guides

By Jess Shipe

Do you rod builders have problems finding something to secure the guides in place while you wrap them? You can use SILICONE FUEL LINE for model airplane engines. It comes in different sizes and colors. You can slice it thin, slide it on the rod, and put your guide under the band. It works well. Any hobby shop that sells gas powered race cars, boats, or airplanes will have this in stock. Cheap. About $.75 per foot. ~ Jess Shipe (aka "Jesse")
