Holding Guides in Place

By Dan Long

To hold guides in place I use small latex tubing cut into tiny pieces, 2mm. These can be put on the rod and rolled down to the guide placement site. If the rod requires 8 guides, then I use 16 pieces of small tubing.

Once you start with your thread wrap you can cut the tubing off with your scissors. On the tip section, you may have to double the tubing back on itself. I use the type of tubing that bowhunters attach to their bowstrings. ~ Dan Long
