Yes. Green Sunfish have large mouths, are wonderfully aggressive, and very common throughout the midwest. Their eggs or fry must hitch rides on waterfowl, because they are never stocked, but find their way into almost every body of water. Probably the easiest fish ever to catch, and are often found close to shore. They also commonly hybridize with other sunfish.
