I LOVE it James when the bride and I get to visit Florida! One of my very favorite places to fish. Soooo many different targets and opportunities and year round too. Seems it would take at least 1/2...
Now that's a tournament even I could get involved in. Good on you Dave. sounds like a hoot for sure...

So ashamed that we have allowed those who seek to destroy...
Nice looking fish Rick,
Can't let the GF see'em or I'll have to hit Clearlake....and there's still tooo much to get done yet!

Geez Scott!
Your bugs sure make me wish we still had a steelhead fishery in our local water!!! Our Russian R. is sooo decimated with pollution that only the demented find it worthwhile to ply...
Scott.............for sure......?
Joining the dark side? ;-)
Welcome....

Well Dave,
ANOTHER grand report! Getting jealous with all the weed whacking and stuff going on around here, and NOT fishing. Have you ever pestered any of those very rare cross fishes they call...
Dave,
Fine display of specialized targetry. GOOD on you! Some look like crossed Koi and Mirror Carp? Is that possible? Wonder if tossing string in Julliard Park, near Luther Burbank Home and...
David,
"Golden" shiners.....what a fine fish. Many of the bait guys on the local delta think of them as gold for large LM's.
Grand post, as usual.... ;-)

Ron,
It IS awhile back....
We too are sorry that you have to travel this road. Prayers and thoughts to you, my friend.

We are not fond of hard water ourselves. Dulls the chainsaw cutting a hole long enough for even short casting.
Love the reports, of course.
We do have some nice crappie waking up at Clearlake....
...
So interesting to see "variations"....especially "variations" with a "reason" ;-)

UJ
That bug is (was) promoted by the guy (Rayjeff?) that made (invented?) a material called Softex. It is a thick liquid that is applied to that mylar and mono web drying to a semi-hard layer...
I like'em Rick. They would work great at Pyramid Lake in Nevada....

Well Betty,
You certainly did it again. Got us busy absorbing again so much useful and true information available to us from this fabulous site, FAOL. We just finished Al's "An attack on...
Hope you ALL have a Merry Christmas and a pleasant New Year. Enjoy your families and keep your OWN mind about you.

James,
Susan and self were fortunate to visit friends in Florida in mid-November. We had a hoot pestering baby tarpon and snook for a day in the everglades. The several hours we spent...
You always amaze me David! Your posts are soooooo appreciated....

DWM,
"Easier" and "distance" are relative terms in casting. No matter the # or size rod, without the application of casting basics (4 of'em-STOP the rod, NO slack, etc.), you will struggle for...
