Just got an email from an unknown. Thanks for explaining how to delete unwanted messages in "Inbox"
Just informed that Hook and Hackle is no longer offering fly tying materials for sale except for vises. Ron said that they are now concentrating on rod building and tackle instead.
Wish them well
Looked at a local tackle shop's website asking visitors NOT to come for fear of spreading the virus to locals who could then inundate local health facilities beyond their capacities. Just wondering...
I too received a sick email.
do you locate the swivel on the eye of the streamer?
I read that the late Lefty Kreh suggested to use a small swivel to reduce line twist when fishing a streamer. Any suggestions as to where to place the swivel on the leader relative to the streamer?
I never understand why when I see parents/adults piggybacking on a back pack rig with kids when wading rivers and streams. The potential for mishaps is great, especially wading even moderate flowing...
Look into Hook and Hackle for their own brand. They are sponsors and the best when servicing their customers. Best wishes
Nice tie and I like that you're using barbless. "Frannie" would have appreciated it too. His tackle shop is no more but his legend continues on the Ausable River.
Understanding certain bead material components are sometimes rare and as a result expensive, I inadvertently made the discovery that my so-called brass beads were magnetic. Not being a metallurgist,...

Would appreciate your help. My issue is sequence with tying marabou (tail), abdomen, white stripe, and spiraling the stripe onto abdomen
I saw an Isonychia nymph tied with claret marabou. It looked more realistic than most I've seen, including white stripe on back. Does any one have tying instructions? thanks
Anyone recommend this HH tippet in 4X-6X sizes? I realize that not all fluorocarbon tippets are the same. Thanks
Yes, let us remember those and their families who gave their lives in service to their country so that we might live in freedom, free of tyranny. May we always remember the liberties this great...
what are you doing to restore the tying thread spool labels after coming off? Tried CA, glue stick, etc. none have worked for very long before coming off again. thanks
i purchased it but have not used it. Trying to thaw out after this winter blast. Tied up a few leaders so far.
Saw this material on AMAZON. Anyone use it? Great price. Comes in a range of tippet diameters.

Matt Grober videos show cure time within seconds. That too is my experience
Agree w ScottP. Wouldn't surprise me if hooks will discontinue or price will jump due to trade wars
Cortland makes a "Competition Nymph Rod". I own a 10'-0", 3 wt. I bought it for the price alone. I'm not fussy about it's performance or quality although I'm a rod builder. I have seen rods in kit...
IMHO, the movie "A River Runs Through It" was one of the worst things (and best things) that happened to fly fishing. I believe the actual fly caster was Jason Borger who was shown to be seen casting...
where do you locate your swivel? tippet to leader, leader to fly line? thanks
Using 4mm soldered round, 2.6mm inside diameter, 22 gauge rings, I can loop connect with 4-6x tippet material. My typical loops are tied with double surgeons knot. I suspect tippet size is governed...
