I think the hackle helps limit any twisting.

Wonder wings use one feather for each wing. The Wally Wings use one feather with each “wing” formed by splitting...

Oldster, thanks. I used dyed mallard flank feather as I recall. What was laying on my desk. Or, it may have been lemon wood duck. They look so similar.

I have found the riffles above the bridge to be good depending...
