EVENINGS ON THE STREAM (part 8)
|Part Seven can be found here|
June 29th, I was back on Armstrong's Spring Creek and the morning was fairly spectacular and it really had nothing to do with the fishing. I was on the upper end of the creek with some friend and we encountered a pair of sandhill cranes on a nest and a baby sandhill crane, here are the photo's of that encounter.
We were there on the creek to film parts of a fly fishing DVD, however we spent most of time filming the sandhill cranes and no one thought of it as a waste of time. I have spent many days afield where the wildlife and or the scenery have distracted most delightfully as the photos will show.
Sometimes we get so tied up in the fishing that we forget to look around and enjoy the beauty of where we are fishing. Therefore, when you are on the stream carry a camera and take advantage of the remarkable wonders that are often on display.
